Do you have experiences where these have been used? Have you encountered situations where it was necessary to use Soft Skills?

I’ve seen how just listening and asking the right questions can shift a whole team’s attitude toward sustainability. That’s much better than another powerpoint presentation ever could. Anyone else noticed how the soft stuff often drives the real change?

I’ve found that soft skills are just as critical as technical knowledge. Whether it’s explaining complex issues in simple terms to non-technical colleagues or staying calm under pressure during outages, communication and empathy go a long way. Building trust through good interpersonal skills has helped me solve problems more effectively and collaborate better across departments.

I completely agree with Thomas. I work in IT support and for me technical skills are just one part of the job. Knowing what to do is important, but explaining it clearly makes the real difference for customer. If I say something like “our server’s response latency exceeds 120 ms,” most users won’t know what that means. But if I say “the system’s responding slower than usual, and I’m looking into it,” that usually builds more trust.

Green skills are key if we want to achieve goals while respecting the natural environment. Importantly, it is not a rule that environmental protection will always be accompanied by higher costs. An example is photovoltaic installations that produce electricity. It is enough to know and be aware of such possibilities, and green skills simply help in this

As a Research Associate in EU-funded projects, I’ve come to truly appreciate the value of soft skills. From managing other researchers to navigating complex administrative processes, communication, adaptability, and problem-solving are very essential skills. Whether it’s managing or responding to unforeseen challenges, soft skills such as resilience, teamwork, and strategic thinking have proven crucial in keeping everything on track.
