What do you do in your teaching work on a daily basis?
I deal with issues related to the broadly understood shaping of various types of environmental elements (primarily related to the water and soil factor) – mainly by technical methods and means, but also agrotechnical or planning solutions.

Until now, a lot of attention has been paid to the development of soft skills, but now there is more and more talk about the so-called green soft skills, i.e. the knowledge, abilities and attitudes needed to live and support the sustainable development of society or the green transformation of the economy. Do you use it in your teaching work with students, and if so, how?

In the field of the subjects (especially as part of the subject Comprehensive land development, but also other topics), I try to make students aware that all transformations that we make as part of the implementation of various projects (point, linear or area) must always be planned, implemented and carried out in relation to the surrounding or coexisting elements of the natural environment in a given area – because by transforming a given space in some way, smaller or larger, we affect it positively or negatively. If positive, then good – if negative, we always have to think about reducing or compensating for these losses.

Are green soft skills needed by students?

Definitely yes. Both because of the formal conditions related to the implementation of various projects, but also because of the need to have something that I would call “environmental awareness”.
